Urgency and discounts

Eleven blocks that draw urgency and a discount but do not change the charged amount.

They are all decoration. Stripe decides the amount from the chosen price, and that is what the buyer sees in the payment window. Neither the timer, nor the promo code, nor a scratched-off scratch card affects it. So write in them only what you can deliver by hand: not "the discount applies automatically", but "the discounted price is already in the plan".

Countdown

A ticking timer. Use it when the offer has a real deadline. Settings: "Countdown end" ("Duration" or "Exact date"), the separator, colour, size and font of the digits, the look of the captions under them. Does not: change anything at zero; it shows 00:00:00 and freezes, and the price and access stay the same.

Duration is from 1 to 10,080 minutes from the moment the visitor opened the screen; an empty field means 15 minutes. "Exact date" is a deadline shared by everyone.

Refreshing the page does not reset a duration countdown, but a new tab or a new visit after closing the browser starts it again, for the same person too.

In-stock badge

A chip with your text: "7 spots left". Use it when scarcity needs to be named in words. Settings: the text and the badge look (oval, ribbon, rectangular, borderless, filled). Does not: count stock. You type the number by hand, and it does not go down with views or purchases.

Urgency banner

A coloured strip with text and a button. Use it when the call to action needs a link to your address. Settings: the text, the button caption and address, its position (beside, above, below), the button text colour. Does not: move through funnel screens; the button leads to the address, and for screens there is the "Next button".

Callout

Text on a backdrop in one of three colours. Use it when one idea must stand out from the flow. Settings: the text and the type: "Info (blue)", "Warning (yellow)", "Success (green)". Does not: do anything beyond decoration: the colour does not show the state of the funnel.

Discount scratch card

A cover the visitor scratches off with a finger, with a discount caption under it. Use it once, on the last screen before prices. Settings: the caption on the layer, the cover background (foil, kraft, dark or your own), the discount text and the caption under it, the share to scratch, the caption of the skip button. Does not: pick a prize; under the layer there is always the same caption of yours, and no discount is assigned.

Locked teaser

Blurred cards, each with a lock. Use it before the paywall, as a showcase of a paid report. Settings: cards (caption, teaser, emoji or your own icon), blur strength, grid or list, a condition caption, the lock icon. Does not: protect anything; the blur is decoration, and the text under it sits in the page code. Put a promise there, not the paid result.

Forecast chart

A curve from the "now" point to the goal with axis labels. Use it to show the promised progress on the result screen. Settings: the heading, point captions and values, axis labels, a caption under the chart, the curve shape (acceleration, steady growth, fast start). Does not: calculate anything from the answers. You write all the numbers and choose the curve shape too.

Promo ticket with code

A ticket with a promo code, an old and a new price, and a timer. Use it only as decoration for a price you have already lowered in the plan. Settings: the heading, the code, the caption under the code, the old and new price, whether to show the deadline, the deadline in minutes or an exact date. Does not: check the code or give a discount; the product has no promo code mechanism. The prices on the ticket are captions; the amount of the chosen plan is charged.

Now / goal comparison

A card with bars: a muted one for "now", a bright one for "goal". Use it to show the gap with data rather than "before and after" photos. Settings: column captions, metrics (name, value and bar length for each side), "Goal bar colour", a caption under the card. Does not: take anything from the answers; you set the bar length as a separate number.

To show the visitor's answer, set a "Variable name" on the question, for example weight, and type {{weight}} into the value text.

BMI scale with slider

A coloured scale with zones and a dot at your value. Use it on the result screen in the health and weight niche. Settings: the value, the caption above it, the start and end of the scale, zones with captions and limits, a disclaimer under the scale. Does not: calculate BMI; height and weight are saved as numbers without a unit. You type the value yourself or insert it with a variable, as in "Now / goal comparison".

Static time badge

A still caption such as 10:00 on a paywall. Use it when you need the look of a timer next to the price. Settings: the number of seconds (from 10 to 3600), colour, size and font of the digits, the look of the captions. Does not: run, although the setting field is called "Timer (seconds)". A ticking countdown is "Countdown".
