Erase customer data
You will ask us to erase the data of a customer who requests it, and learn what disappears afterwards and what stays.
How to ask
There is no button in the cabinet: we erase data manually, on your email. Write to [email protected] and include:
- the customer's email; if you do not have it — the visitor identifier (
guid) from “Audit”, “Traffic” tab; - the project to erase them in.
Erasure applies to one project. If the customer is in several of your projects, list them all.
Erasure does not refund money. If the customer is owed a refund, make it yourself in the “Store” section.
What happens to access and subscription
- Access in the app is closed.
- The customer's subscriptions in your Stripe are cancelled at once, without waiting for the end of the paid period.
- If Adapty or RevenueCat grants access, we revoke it there too.
- If your server is subscribed to the access revocation event, it receives it.
What disappears
- the person's visits, answers and purchases in “Analytics” — figures for past periods get smaller;
- their path in “Audit”, the row in “Leads”, buyer properties, email history and the unsubscribe mark;
- consent decisions they made in this project.
What stays
- Records of payments, refunds and subscriptions. Amounts, dates and Stripe operation numbers stay; we remove the customer's email and identifier from them. In the “Store” the subscription stays without an email.
- The customer in your Stripe. We cancel the subscription but do not touch the customer card with their email in your Stripe — delete it there yourself.
- The customer identifier in three logs: the send log to ad networks, the charge log for saved-card charges and “SDK logs”. They hold no email, and “SDK logs” clear themselves after 30 days.
- What has already gone out: events in ad networks, in a partner's tracker, in your Amplitude and on your server. We revoke nothing there — erase it on your side.
Next
- Store: subscribers and money — refund a customer and cancel a subscription.
- Ad networks and pixels — what goes to ad networks and under which consent.
